FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE

I know I need help with my health, what are my options?
We have 2 options for New Patients. The first option is for someone who knows they need help solving their health puzzle but they have one primary complaint and want some guidance on lab testing and direction, and the second is for the "complex health puzzle", someone who has one or more of the following: fatigue/low energy, constipation/diarrhea, bloating, reflux, brain fog, neurological complaints, anxiety, depression, poor sleep, hormone imbalances, trouble losing weight. THIS IS MOST PEOPLE! The appointments are $149 and $249 and can be seen in detail by following the link below.

What happens after the initial consultation?
After the initial consultation Dr. Taylor will give you his recommendations for any lab testing, supplements, and give you an idea of expectations for future care, which will likely include recommendations for a Membership Package. Membership Packages include 3, 6, 9, or 12 visits, include discounts on supplements, labs, and communication in between your consultations.

Do you accept Insurance?
We do not accept insurance, however our services can be submitted to group-share plans like Samaritan's Ministries. Most of our patients come to us because they are frustrated with the lack of answers from the insurance-based medical model and they are prepared to pay for a different result.

Can I use my HSA or Flex Spending Account?
Individual plans may vary, but yes, Health Savings Accounts or Flex Spending Accounts typically work with no problems.

How much is it going to cost?
While we do give our patients options to choose from, we do want you to know what to expect. There are 3 areas that comprise our care: Labs, Supplements, and Future Care.

The bulk of the lab testing cost will be spent upfront as we figure out more of what's going on. Individual lab panels range from $300-$600, and we often need more than one. We do expect our new patients to commit to ongoing care by joining our Membership Program, which has different levels of commitment, and the more future care you commit to the more discount you receive. We have packages ranging from several hundred dollars to several thousand dollars.

Our favorite patients are patients who have seen other doctors, because they understand the investment involved. Nationwide, an average functional medicine case typically ranges from $6,000- $8,000. Our office tends to be much lower cost than average, but please expect to be making an investment into your health and your future. Medical bills are the leading cause of bankruptcy, and you will be SAVING money in the long run!

How long is it going to take?
There is no clear answer for this, as health is a never-ending journey. We expect that our patients continue to work with us for life, but we expect to work aggressively for 3-6 months and we expect that you have noticed positive changes in your health. We often see people for semi-annual or annual lab work, quarterly consultations, etc to continue helping them move forward in their health journey for years to come!

CHIROPRACTIC

What chiropractic services do you offer?
We offer physical examination and adjustments, along with manual physical therapy currently. Dr. Taylor will also give you stretching and rehab recommendations, and we offer at-home rehab equipment. If Dr. Taylor feels that you need further services such as X-ray, MRI, decompression, he will happily refer you for appropriate care.

Do you bill insurance?
We do not bill insurance, but we are able to provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company. Your reimbursement will depend on your contract with your insurance company.

Do you adjust kids?
We LOVE seeing kids get adjusted! Dr. Taylor has adjusted 100's of kids in his career, from 1 day old to 90 years old :) Dr. Taylor often uses a low-impact instrument for adjusting kids.

Is there a "treatment plan"?
Dr. Taylor will give you recommendations for ongoing care, but we are only open one day a week currently, so there will be no aggressive 3x/week treatment plans. Dr. Taylor recommends regular chiropractic for all - for some that may be 1x/month, for others every other week, and for some experiencing symptoms he will recommend that you come back weekly.
